Terms
These terms apply when you download, buy or use Maccimo. By using Maccimo you agree to them. Maccimo is made and sold by Go Brand LLC, 1712 Pioneer Ave Ste 115, Cheyenne, WY 82001, USA (“we”).
Your license
A license lets you use Maccimo on the number of Macs stated when you buy it, and includes the updates released during the period stated at purchase. You may not resell, share or redistribute your license key or the app.
30-day money-back guarantee
If you are not happy with Maccimo for any reason, write to support@maccimo.com within 30 days of your payment and we will refund it in full. No questions asked. This applies to a purchase and to an update renewal. When we refund a purchase, its license ends and Maccimo stops working with it. When we refund a renewal, you keep your license and only the year of updates it added is removed.
Everything runs on your Mac
Maccimo records, transcribes, summarizes and stores your dictation, notes, meetings and voice profiles on your Mac. We do not receive, store or have access to any of it. You control that data and are responsible for it: you decide what to record, keep, share and delete.
Recording people
Laws about recording conversations differ between countries and states, and some require the consent of everyone in the conversation. Before you record a meeting or call, you are responsible for telling the people in it and getting any consent the law requires where you and they are.
Voice profiles
Voice profiles are off until you turn them on in Settings. When they are on and you name a speaker, Maccimo keeps a voice signature for that person on your Mac, never their audio, to suggest their name in later meetings. A voice signature can be biometric data under laws such as the EU and UK GDPR and the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. Before you name someone with voice profiles on, you are responsible for getting that person’s consent where the law requires it.
Maccimo deletes a voice signature when you delete the meeting it came from, after a year without use, or when you choose Forget all voices in Settings.
Transcripts and summaries
Speech recognition, speaker labels, summaries and suggestions are produced by models and can be wrong. Check anything important before you rely on it.
Responsibility
You agree to cover claims brought against us by others because you recorded, named or kept data about them without the consent the law required.
Maccimo is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for your license in the last twelve months. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that the law does not allow us to limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protections of the law where you live that cannot be waived.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will publish the new version here. Questions: support@maccimo.com.
